Are my records private?
Maintain stores your records on your devices. When iCloud sync is enabled in the released app, Apple’s CloudKit service keeps them available across devices signed into your Apple Account. Ahrend Digital Studios does not operate a separate server containing your asset records.
Can I use Maintain without iCloud?
Yes. Maintain continues to work locally. Cross-device availability requires iCloud and a supported release of the app.
Camera and QR scanning
Camera access is used only when you choose to photograph an asset, scan a document, or identify a Maintain QR label. You can manage permission in system Settings.
Calendar and notifications
Calendar entries and reminders are optional. Maintain asks permission only when you enable the corresponding feature.
